The agave is one of my favorite high desert plants, only blooming once in it's lifetime. This remarkable plant is also known as the Century Tree. It was once thought a Century Tree live 100 years before it bloomed. There are many different types of agave. The plant on this pendant is the Parry Agave, found in Northern Arizona.
